Hyderabad Gears Up For Miss World 2025: A Global Celebration

Telangana's capital prepares to host delegates from 120 nations as Miss World returns to India

Hyderabad is finalizing preparations to host international Miss World 2025 pageant, which will be held in a set of venues in the city. With the Telangana State Tourism Department taking the lead, preparations for the glamorous event are nearing completion. The international contestants who are taking part from 120 countries will start arriving by the 8th of May before the actual onset of the contest on May 10 at the Gachibowli Stadium. The culmination finale is set for the 31st of May.

Julio Evelyn Morley, Chairperson and CEO of Miss World Limited, arrived in Hyderabad on Friday. She was traditionally welcomed at Shamshabad Airport and will personally visit the ongoing preparations to judge them.

Summer Heat to be Beaten with Evening Events

To accommodate Hyderabad's hot weather during summer, most of the pageantry-related activities will be carried out late in the afternoon or evening. Telangana tourism officials fixed that events would usually begin after 4:30 p.m., while there will only be a limited indoor activity that will be carried out in the morning hours within three days. These activities are being organized in collaboration between Miss World Limited and the Telangana State Tourism Department.

The agenda has scope for cultural excursions and tours to heritage monuments. The contestants are taken to memorable points such as Ramoji Film City, Buddhavanam Project, Nagarjunasagar, and a couple of ancient temples and forts of the state. An attempt has been made to harmonize the global event with a strong cultural outing of Telangana.

Venues and Destinations Across Telangana to Host Delegates

Apart from activities at Gachibowli Stadium and HITEX Exhibition Grounds, other noted Hyderabad locations are Shilparamam, Chowmohalla Palace, Shilpa Kala Vedika, and iconic Charminar. Delegates will also travel out of the city to places like Yadadri Temple, Warangal Fort, Pochampally village, and Pillamarri in Mahbubnagar district, providing them with a rich history of spirituality and craftsmanship of the place.

The tour itinerary is designed to focus on both urban development and heritage, with hospitality in Telangana and tourism being the center of the tourist experience.
