
Indian-made iPhones Now Dominate US Shipments
Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook has affirmed a significant shift in the production strategy for the tech giant. IThe most significant number of iPhones in the USA will be produced in India from April to June of the next quarter. This is because of rising tariffs that complicate producing in China.
Cook further explained that iPhone would be produced in India but iPads, Mac computers, Apple Watch, and AirPods would be produced in Vietnam. Nonetheless, China is the leader as a distributor of Apple products to economies outside those in the US.
S&P Global: India Sees Sharp Rise in Apple Exports
S&P Global has stated that Apple exports of Indian products in the US increased steeply. From December 2024 until February 2025, India was the manufacturing source of 81.9% of the total American iPhone sales. In March 2025, this number surged to 97.6%, which is the result of the increasing export rates.
Apple Posts Strong Revenue Growth in Early 2025
During the first quarter of 2025, Apple's income was $95.35 billion (about ₹8.1 lakh crore) which represents a 5% increase over $90.75 billion a year ago, that being Q1, 2024.
Apple Product Sales Remain at 7.59 Crores in America
Apple has sold 7.59 crore products in the United States in 2024, indicative of the brand's strong customer base in the country's biggest market.
