YouTube compensated Indian creators, partners, media companies, and music businesses Rs 21,000 crore over the past three years, YouTube Vice President Asia Pacific Gautam Anand exposed during the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES).
Anand added that India is an important market for content creation. He said that YouTube continues to be committed to empowering creators with cutting-edge tools, particularly through AI, to enable them to earn more. He also assured continued investments to build business opportunities and brand collaborations in India.

Nita Ambani, Jiostar Chairperson, referred to India as the home of one of the world's oldest civilizations. Speaking at the same event, she said that the cultural strength of India is back in the limelight of the world.
Ambani announced that the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center will present an "India Weekend" at the Lincoln Center in New York in the current September. The festival will showcase Indian art and heritage to international audiences. She added that Indian civilization has been enriching the world with values like truth, non-violence, and humility.
