
Pakistan Confirms Three Indian Air Base Strikes
India targeted three Pakistani air bases with air strikes after Pakistan struck 26 border sites with drones and artillery. Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the Pakistan Army spokesman, confirmed the Indian air strikes.
Locations of the Air Strikes
The air raids were carried out at the following sites:
- Nur Khan Air Base in Chaklala, Rawalpindi – near the headquarters of the Pakistan Army.
- Mureed Air Base in Chakwal.
- Rafiki Air Base in Shorkot, Jhang district.
Pakistan's army stated that it will give a "befitting response" to the air raids.
Pakistan Names Its Operation
Pakistan named its military operation against India as Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, which translates to "strong foundation." There has been no official statement from the Indian Air Force or Army so far. But the Indian Army will be having a press briefing at 10:30 AM today.
Border Situation Escalates Again
Although Friday witnessed a slowdown in this activity, on Saturday morning, Pakistan again went into action. Drones were sent to 26 different locations, beginning from Baramulla in the north to Bhuj in the west.
Indian Army Successfully Counters Drone Attack
The Indian Army was able to intercept and shoot down drones aimed at Srinagar Airport and Awantipora Air Base. The border situation is now placed on high alert.
