
Ceasefire Agreement Between India, Pakistan
India and Pakistan have concluded recent tensions via a reciprocal ceasefire agreement. India's Ministry of External Affairs authenticated this fact. The ceasefire came into effect formally at 5 PM on Saturday.
American Participation in Ceasefire Negotiations
US President Donald Trump had previously said both nations had consented to a ceasefire. According to him, the United States acted as the mediator for the agreement.
Military Communication and Accord
Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) telephoned the Indian DGMO on Saturday afternoon at 3:35 PM. This was followed by the two military officials deciding to put in place a ceasefire. The ceasefire is on land, air, and sea operations.
Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Vikram Misri confirmed the information and stated that military troops in both nations have been ordered accordingly. He also stated that the DGMOs will talk again on the 12th evening of this month.
India Upholds Strong Position on Terrorism
Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spoke on the ceasefire through X (previously Twitter). He stated that both sides agreed to cease military operations. But he also reiterated that India will not relent in its anti-terror policy.
