Tribute Expressed in Poetic Form
Amitabh Bachchan, the 82-year-old Bollywood actor, posted a message on social media in the morning. He reached out to the Indian Army after their reaction to the Pahalgam terror attack. He expressed his message with some verses from the poem Agneepath, penned by his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan:
"You never fear. You never turn your back. You never surrender. Swear, swear, swear. Agneepath, Agneepath, Agneepath."
Public Response to His Silence
Following the Pahalgam attack of April 22, in which 26 civilians were murdered, Amitabh Bachchan ceased issuing regular content. Instead, he issued blank pages on his own blog and 'X' page, each captioned with a serial number. Fans were apprehensive about his silence.
Backing for Military Action
In his recent post, Amitabh came back with a lengthy message. He saluted the Indian government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating Operation Sindoor, a military operation against nine terror camps in Pakistan.
Message of Inspiration
He concluded the post with inspirational verses of Agneepath, inspiring the Indian Army and citizens to remain firm against injustice.
