
India Claims Victory in Operation Sindoor
India reported that it inflicted extensive damage upon Pakistan under Operation Sindoor. Indian forces brought down a few of the Pakistani advanced combat fighter jets, Indian officials confirmed.
Pakistan confirms damage, downplays effect
As a reply, the Pakistan Army acknowledged that one of its fighter planes was damaged. A press conference was conducted by Pakistan Army Spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry. He was accompanied by Air Force and Navy representatives. In the briefing, he reported that an Air Force fighter plane incurred minor damage in military confrontations with India. He did not provide precise information on the extent of damage.
Indian Air Marshal Gives Brief Facts
On Sunday, India drew out the details of Operation Sindoor. Indian Air Marshal A.K. Bharti said Pakistani planes were brought down. He did not reveal the number of planes. He further said Indian troops kept Pakistani planes from flying into Indian air space, and therefore no debris was recovered, but some planes were actually taken down.
Talks at the DGMO-Level Scheduled
India and Pakistan will have Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) level talks after the cessation of hostilities. Indian Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai will meet Pakistani Major General Kashif Chaudhary at 12 PM on Monday. They are likely to talk about arrangements of the existing ceasefire accord.
