Defense Minister Commends Soldiers at Bhuj Air Base
On Friday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was at the Bhuj air base in Gujarat after the cooling tension crisis between India and Pakistan. Singh highly commended the Indian officers and men for the stateside success of Operation Sindoor. He reiterated that the Indian Army had finished off the underground terrorism from Pakistan within 23 minutes. Singh said, "Both inside the Indian boarders and on the international stage, people felt proud of their soldiers' bravery."
Pakistan Allegedly Pays Masood Azhar
During his speech, the Defense Minister asked the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to reconsider its funding aid to Pakistan. He was concerned that the aid would finance terrorist infrastructure. Singh mentioned that Pakistan has decided to pay Rs. 14 crore to Masood Azhar, Jaish-e-Mohammed chief, for the rebuilding of destroyed terrorist camps in the operation. He mentioned that this move can indirectly finance terrorism.
Warning of Future Action
Reporting the India-Pakistan ceasefire, Singh said peace would be accepted. But he signaled that any violation will be met with a strong response. He referred to Operation Sindoor as ongoing and said what has happened until now is just the beginning. He explained that more action could be on the way, depending on more progress.
