Continuing Ceasefire and Global Support

The ceasefire accord, signed following Operation Sindoor, holds between India and Pakistan. America welcomed this. It expressed its wholehearted support for peace and conflict prevention in the region. US leaders commended the actions of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for opting for peace.

US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio also urged India and Pakistan to settle issues through direct talks.

China's Stand on India-Pakistan War

China, historically on the side of Pakistan during previous crises, also supported the ceasefire. It suggested dialogue and consultation as the next course of action. China underscored peaceful settlement through negotiations.

India and Pakistan React

India replied that any negotiations with Pakistan would be bilateral and only on terrorism. Pakistan was willing for peace negotiations but made a precondition. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated Pakistan desires the Kashmir dispute to be part of the negotiations.
