Jyoti Malhotra Espionage Case: Major Developments Prior To Pahalgam Attack

Probe Uncovers Link with Pahalgam Trip

Haryana YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra is investigated for suspected espionage on behalf of Pakistan. Authorities claim that she had traveled to Pahalgam three months prior to the biggest terrorist attack in that city on April 22.

She is suspected of filming while she was there and perhaps passing information to Pakistani agents. Investigators continue to verify what information could have been sent.

Links to a Pakistani High Commission Official

Police reports attest that Jyoti was in touch with Danish, a staff member of the Pakistani High Commission, on a regular basis. The authorities suspect Danish to have connections with Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI.

While there were tensions after 'Operation Sindoor', police monitored communication between Jyoti and Danish, which indicated a close connection. Investigators claim Danish was involved in enlisting her.

Travel History and Intelligence Contacts

Jyoti owns a YouTube channel named Travel With Jo. She had gone to Pakistan in 2023, where she had met Danish. Once she came back to India, she remained in contact with him.

Police discovered that at Danish's suggestion, she had met Ali Ahsan, and the latter had introduced her to individuals from Pakistan's defense and intelligence communities. Officials hold Jyoti responsible for passing sensitive defense information to these contacts.

Frequent International Trips Raise Suspicion

Prior to the Pahalgam attack, Jyoti has visited Pakistan several times and gone once to China. These visits are included in the ongoing investigation.

The police arrested Jyoti last week on the charges of spying for Pakistan. More information is likely to surface as the probe continues.
