Apple Unveils iOS 26 at WWDC 2025
Apple has announced the release of iOS 26 during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2025), held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, California. This update replaces the expected iOS 19. It introduces major design and software changes for iPhones.
Major Visual Redesign: Introducing 'Liquid Glass'
The new update features a design called ‘Liquid Glass’. This is the biggest visual upgrade since iOS 7, which introduced the 'Flat Design' in 2013. The new design changes how users see and interact with the screen. Apple confirms iOS 26 will be available on iPhone models released after iOS 11.

Craig Federighi, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, stated that the screen will now reflect colors more attractively. However, the AI features will only work on iPhone 16 series and iPhone 15 Pro models.
