Shubhanshu Shukla’s Space Mission Rescheduled For June 19

New Launch Date Declared by ISRO

Indian space traveler Shubhanshu Shukla is now set to go to space on June 19. The new launch date has been confirmed by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The space mission was postponed earlier because of technical issues.

Reason for the Delay

The launch was initially planned for June 11. Engineers detected a leak in the rocket's liquid oxygen. ISRO announced the problem is now resolved and the mission is ready to go.

Mission Overview

Shukla will travel under the Axiom-4 mission, which is being organized by Axiom Space, an American private space firm. Three other crew members will accompany him. The mission has cooperation from ISRO, NASA, and the European Space Agency (ESA).

Launch Vehicle and Role

The crew will travel on a Falcon-9 rocket. The mission pilot will be Shubhanshu Shukla. The mission was initially planned on May 29 but was rescheduled several times because of the weather and technical problems.

Mission Duration and Activities

Following launch, the spacecraft will arrive at the International Space Station (ISS) within 28 hours. The crew shall remain at the ISS for 14 days. During this time, they will conduct scientific experiments under zero gravity conditions.

Interaction and Outreach

The astronauts shall also interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, students, and other audiences throughout the mission.
