Israel-Iran Conflict: Netanyahu Accuses Iran Of Plotting Against Trump

Tensions Escalate in West Asia

The war between Israel and Iran is ongoing. The nations are disobeying global demands to end the attacks. They are also not willing to sign a truce. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently spoke on the matter. He made serious accusations in his address.

Netanyahu: Iran Wants to Kill Trump

Netanyahu alleged that Iran views Donald Trump as its number one foe. He described Trump as a powerful leader who does not engage in weak negotiations. Trump, Netanyahu explained, does not back down against rivals. He also highlighted Trump's move to exit the nuclear agreement and order the assassination of Qassem Soleimani.

Netanyahu said that Iran should not possess nuclear weapons. He explained uranium enrichment should be halted. Trump is taking difficult decisions because of this reason, Netanyahu said. Netanyahu feels Trump has thereby become Iran's chief target.

Israel Sees Iran as Global Threat

The Israeli Prime Minister asserted that Iran is a threat to the whole world. Due to this, Israel is ongoing with its military actions. He asserted that these attacks are being done to get rid of this threat. In his view, Israel is not only safeguarding its own people but also people across the globe.

Iran Faces Casualties in Military Ranks

Iran is suffering significant losses in the conflict. Senior military officials have been killed. Among them are Brigadier General Mohammad Kazemi, who was the intelligence chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and his deputy General Hassan Mahakic. Netanyahu provided this information during an interview with Fox News. He also confirmed the demise of another high-ranking IRGC intelligence officer.

Israel Targets Nuclear Facilities

Israel has initiated "Operation Rising Lion" over the weekend. The operation targets Iranian nuclear facilities. There were reported blasts at the Fordow nuclear facility early on Monday. These explosions resulted in a slight earthquake. It measured 2.5 on the Richter scale. Up to now, 14 Iranian nuclear scientists have been killed by Israeli attacks.
