Meta Offers Big Packages to Recruit AI Experts
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman discussed Meta's recent attempts to poach AI talent. On a podcast with his brother, Jack Altman, Sam revealed that Meta is offering huge salary packages. These include sign-on bonuses of as high as $100 million and best-in-class yearly packages.

Altman mentioned that Meta considers OpenAI a significant competitor. In order to hire top engineers, Meta is making extremely high offers. Even with these offers, Altman confirmed that there are no OpenAI employees who have signed on with Meta's offers.
