
Putin Offers Mediation Between Iran and Israel
Tensions between Iran and Israel are currently very high. In response to the situation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he is willing to mediate between the two countries.
Trump Responds with a Suggestion
The offer by Putin was commented on by former U.S. President Donald Trump. When asked about it by journalists, he said he had just talked to Putin.
Trump declared:
"I just spoke with Putin. He said he wishes to act as a mediator between Israel and Iran. I told him this: 'Do me a favor. First, mediate the conflict with Ukraine. Then we can discuss this.'"
Putin Avoids Comment on Khamenei Assassination
When questioned regarding the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Putin refused to comment. According to him, he did not want to speak on that.
No Help Sought by Iran Yet
Putin was also queried whether Iran had sought help from Russia for the current conflict with Israel. In his response, he stated that his Iranian counterparts have not sought any help to date.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Warns
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov addressed the position of the United States. He cautioned that if the U.S. sends military assistance to Israel or becomes involved in attacks, the situation may further escalate.
