APSRTC Offers Free Transport Within Tirumala
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) initiated free bus services for pilgrims in Tirumala. Extra Executive Officer C.H. Venkaiah Chowdhury made the announcement on Thursday.
He inaugurated the buses at Ashwini Hospital Circle in Tirumala. The new service employs APSRTC buses to transport pilgrims from one destination to another within the complex.
Purpose of the Free Bus Service
Venkaiah Chowdhury said the aim is to prevent private buses from levying exorbitant fares. The free buses also keep the area pollution-free. APSRTC consented to operate these services free of cost.
TTD appreciated the support of APSRTC. The new buses will operate on the same routes as the current Srivari Dharma Rathas, which too are free.
