The war between Israel and Iran has been going on for eight days. Both nations have been engaged in a series of attacks in West Asia. Israeli troops have accused Iran of employing cluster bombs in the latest missile attack. The deployment of cluster munitions is Iran's first proved since the conflict started.
Information about the Missile Attack
The missile detonated at 7 kilometers, as reported by Israel's Home Front Command. Upon explosion, it dispersed into 20 smaller bombs, which rained over different locations. A Tel Aviv official reported that these cluster bombs are even more lethal than Iran's conventional ballistic missiles. The army has made no additional announcements.
One of the missiles struck a house in Azor, a town in central Israel, a reported an Israeli news agency. There were no major casualties. But some of the bomblets did not detonate and could cause harm to civilians in the future, officials claimed. The public was warned to immediately report suspicious objects.
Israel Accuses Iran of Targeting Civilians
A Tel Aviv military official accused Iran of trying to hurt civilians by employing cluster bombs. The official claimed that these weapons escalate the intensity of the conflict and present a great danger.

111 nations and 12 international bodies signed a treaty prohibiting the use, manufacture, transfer, and stockpiling of cluster bombs in 2008. Iran and Israel did not sign the treaty.
Iran Appoints New Intelligence Chief
