
Mass Yoga Session in Visakhapatnam Surpasses Previous Record
Andhra Pradesh government's "Yoga Andhra-2025" programme has achieved a new Guinness World Record. The program was organized in Visakhapatnam to mark the 11th International Yoga Day.
More than 3 Lakh Participants Attend Yoga Session
3.01 lakh individuals participated in the event. They did yoga on a continuous stretch from Ramakrishna Beach to Bhimili. This number surpassed the previous record held in Surat, in which 1.47 lakh individuals participated.
Guinness World Records Recognition
Guinness authorities officially declared the new record. Certificates were awarded to Andhra Pradesh Ministers Nara Lokesh and Satyakumar by event organizers at the ceremony.
Record for Tribal Student Performance Too
Another Guinness World Record was achieved at the event. Tribal students performed Surya Namaskar in large numbers, earning separate recognition.
