Mutual Strikes Between Iran and Israel Continue
The Iran-Israel conflict is ongoing. At this time, some few words by former American President Donald Trump were addressed to Tel Aviv. While addressing journalists in New Jersey on Friday, he explained that Israel cannot demolish Iran's buried Fordow nuclear plant without American assistance.
Trump Specifies Israel's Restrictions
Trump admitted that Israel has gained strategic advantages in its operation so far. Nevertheless, he asserted that Israel does not have the military strength to blast Fordow alone. He claimed that any Israeli efforts to bomb the plant would be ineffective. In his view, such operations require U.S. engagement to be fruitful.
Diplomatic Outlook and Current Challenges
Trump said that he is still committed to diplomatic options. However, he added that convincing Israel to cease military operations is not possible at the moment. He thinks that as long as one side feels that it is winning, requesting it to stop operations becomes extremely hard.
European Mediation and Iran's Position
Trump also spoke on global attempts at ending the war. He rejected European nations' attempts to mediate between Israel and Iran. He stated that European countries cannot help efficiently. Trump said that Iran would rather deal directly with the United States, rather than European mediators.
