Russia Strikes Ukraine With Over 350 Drones Amid Ceasefire Talks

Massive Drone and Missile Attack on Kiev

During ceasefire negotiations, Russian forces are still carrying out military action in Ukraine. The Russian government, according to Ukrainian officials, attacked Kiev with more than 350 drones and 11 missiles.

10 citizens were killed in this attack. A number of structures, such as houses and hospitals, were demolished. Vehicles were also destroyed. Numerous citizens were trapped under falling structures. Rescuer teams were trying to rescue them. Injured patients were taken to hospitals for treatment. Officials threatened that the death toll can go up.

Allegations of North Korean Weapons Used

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has blamed Russia for using weapons manufactured in North Korea in the recent attack. He issued a warning that if North Korea supplies weapons or soldiers to Moscow, the conflict will escalate.

He said the defense minister of Ukraine, who came to the United Kingdom on Monday, will urge greater global pressure on Russia. Zelensky was also set to meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in London ahead of next week's NATO summit in The Hague.

Call for Greater Sanctions and International Support

Zelensky called on Western countries to impose additional sanctions on Russia. He accused Russia of attacking civilian infrastructure and said the country was prolonging the war unnecessarily.

He condemned the slow response of the global community, especially the U.S., and complained about the large number of Ukrainian casualties.

Putin's Conditions for Ending the War

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated he would consider ending the conflict if Ukraine does not join NATO. He also demanded recognition of Russia's annexation of Crimea and four other regions.
