US Launches Sudden Attack on Iran's Nuclear Sites
The United States made a direct military attack on Iran's nuclear programs. The move was made without notice. US Vice President JD Vance said the president authorized the operation just minutes before it was executed.
"President Trump weighed seriously the decision to strike. But he made the ultimate decision right before the bombs were dropped," Vance said.
President Trump Defends the Operation
President Trump also endorsed the move in his tweets. He indicated that satellite images reflected heavy damage at Iran's nuclear facilities.
"Severe damage is evident. To say they were obliterated fits," Trump tweeted. He also added that the most severe effect occurred deep under the ground.
