Israel Confirms Ceasefire With Iran, Credits Trump For Mediation

Ceasefire Now in Force Between Israel and Iran

The Middle Eastern conflict has recently reduced. Israel and Iran both have consented to a ceasefire. Iran first started respecting the ceasefire. Israel has now confirmed that it too agrees with the ceasefire deal.

Official Statement from Netanyahu's Office

The official statement was released by the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Through it, Netanyahu stated that Iran's nuclear menace has been eliminated. He expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for standing in support of Israel.

Operation "Rising Lion" Is Declared Successful

The statement reveals that Israel achieved all the targets under Operation Rising Lion. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) established total control over the airspace in Tehran. The military action destroyed Iran's leadership hierarchy. It also destroyed most Iranian government locations. A senior nuclear scientist was also assassinated in the attack.

Trump's Role Is Recognized by Israel

Israel thanked President Trump. The statement pointed out that Trump had provided military assistance as well as direct engagement. Israel attributed him with being responsible for taking away Iran's nuclear menace. The Netanyahu government stated that it had approved the ceasefire deal negotiated by Trump.

Warning Given to Iran by Israel

The statement also issued a warning to Iran. It indicated that any violation of the ceasefire would be followed by further retaliation by Israel.

Timeline of Ceasefire and First Declaration

President Trump initially made the announcement online that both nations had agreed to a ceasefire. He added Iran would start the ceasefire, and Israel would follow. In spite of the news, fighting still went on for a short while. Six hours after, Iran officially announced it had commenced observing the ceasefire. This was later attested by Netanyahu for Israel's involvement.
