Trump stated that he can meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the NATO summit. He termed the situation tense and indicated there is a possibility for a truce between Russia and Ukraine. Trump said the three-year war can be ended by this. Last week, he said 6,000 soldiers have been killed in the war.
