Israel and Iran have eased tensions after agreeing on a ceasefire. Former US President Donald Trump recently commented on the issue with fresh remarks. He feared that the war would break out once again in the future.
Trump Raises Questions on Permanent Peace
Trump stated that he had talked to both Israeli and Iranian leaders. Both nations are now exhausted due to the war, according to him. But he cautioned that war might resume. "Will the war start again? Maybe one day. Maybe soon," Trump added.
Nuclear Talks with Iran Possible
Trump also discussed nuclear weapons talks with Iran. He stated that negotiations are scheduled for next week. He added that there is an opportunity to sign a deal where Iran abandons attempts to make nuclear weapons. Trump attributed the rapid conclusion of the war to U.S. action against Iran. Trump said this move brought a surprise victory for all.
Possible Relaxations in Oil Sanctions
In the NATO meeting, Trump signaled that the U.S. could lower sanctions on Iran's oil industry. Trump said Iran requires money to reconstruct. The U.S. is now pondering easing some of the restrictions to enable Iran's economic revival.
