Trump Confirms Mossad Inspection Post-Attack
U.S. President Donald Trump said that Israeli Mossad agents surveyed Iran's nuclear facilities following a U.S.-led strike. Trump said this after reports indicated that Iran's nuclear facilities were not as badly damaged as had been anticipated, according to Pentagon evaluations.
Responding at the NATO summit, Trump stated, "Israeli agents visited the locations and surveyed them. They told us there was total damage. Israel is preparing a comprehensive report. They told us nothing is left at the Fordow site, and I believe them."
CIA Backs Damage Claims
The CIA assured that Iran's nuclear sites were severely damaged. The CIA Director John Ratcliffe made a press release assuring that the facilities were destroyed and would take years to restore.
The CIA stated, in the release, "A reliable intelligence source confirms severe damage to Iran's nuclear program. We will collect more information, inform the government, and share updates with the public. Transparency is important, as this affects national security.
Iran Confesses Damage but Refuses to Give Details
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei confirmed that the nuclear facilities were damaged. But he refused to give complete details. He held the United States and Israel responsible for the destruction through continuous attacks.
Conflicting Reports from U.S. Media
Meanwhile, the New York Times and CNN, citing Pentagon sources, reported that the damage to Iran’s nuclear centers was limited. These reports suggest that Iran might be able to fully enrich uranium within a few months.
