Trump Denies Offering Iran Any Deal Or Funds Amid Nuclear Tensions

Trump Spurns Report of Money Offer to Iran

Former U.S. President Donald Trump rejected allegations that his government was plotting to pay Iran billions of dollars to suspend its nuclear program. Trump reacted personally through his Truth Social channel:

Inform that fake Democrat Senator Chris Coons that I have not made any concessions to Iran. I will not provide them with billions of dollars so they can build a bomb like the horrible JCPOA deal. They haven't even conducted negotiations since they destroyed Iran's nuclear facilities."

Iran Seeks U.S. Guarantees Before Any Talks

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi informed the BBC that an interest in resuming negotiations was conveyed to Iran by the Trump administration through intermediaries. Yet, he clarified that Iran would entertain this only if America assures that it will not carry out additional attacks.

Conflict Ongoing Affects Diplomacy

The U.S. and Iran resumed indirect nuclear talks after Israeli airstrikes in June. Iran retaliated by firing missiles at Tel Aviv. The U.S. launched strikes on some Iranian nuclear facilities on June 21, heightening tensions.

Mixed Reports on U.S. Proposal of Aid

CNN indicated that the Trump administration was set to provide Iran with $30 billion in aid for the use of peaceful nuclear energy. The news also stated plans to unfreeze Iranian assets held in banks. These talks, however, seem to have been halted after Israel's recent bombardments of Iran.

Trump Refutes Claims as Fake Media

Trump responded strongly, labeling the $30 billion offer as “false media propaganda.” He insisted he had never considered such a proposal and denied any knowledge of discussions involving financial aid.
