Trump condemned Musk and the announcement as foolish. Trump posted a lengthy message on his Truth Social handle.
Trump Criticizes Musk's Choice
Trump stated Musk has lost control over the past several weeks. Trump stated he is disappointed in the way their relationship is dissolving. Trump claimed third parties in the U.S. never succeed. He thinks the two-party system is best and a new party will bring confusion and contention.
President Defends New Legislation
Trump clarified that Democrats are losing people's trust. Trump told them that the Republican government is working fine now. He pointed out a new bill that had just passed. Trump told them it was a people-friendly bill as it provided citizens with the option to choose their vehicles. Trump added that Musk is not happy because the bill does not favor compulsory use of electric vehicles, which Musk desires. Trump said he does not agree with compelling individuals to use electric vehicles.
Musk Announces 'America Party' on X
Elon Musk announced that a political party named the "America Party" would be launched on the X platform. Musk stated that the U.S. does not have genuine democracy any longer. Musk stated that his intention is to give more liberty to individuals and disrupt the current two-party system. Yet, he did not disclose the official registration information of the party.
