Her Term as CEO
Linda Yaccarino started serving as CEO in May 2023. She held this office for two years. She was the first CEO to assume office after Elon Musk bought the company.
Her Statement
During her statement, Yaccarino stated:
"I am stepping down as CEO after a fantastic two-year ride. Thank you to Musk for trusting me and putting the responsibility of defending freedom of expression, guiding the company to an even greater place, and making X the Everything App into my hands. It has been an honor to serve with the incredible X team."
Background in Media and Advertising
Prior to coming to X, Yaccarino was at NBCUniversal. She was advertising and partnerships chairwoman there. Before that, she was at Turner Entertainment for 19 years, helping to bring modern ad sales to digital.
