Indian badminton athlete Saina Nehwal has confirmed her break-up with husband Parupalli Kashyap. The duo broke up after seven years of marriage. Saina released this information through her Instagram page.
She added that the decision was taken after proper discussions and introspection. "Life takes us places. Kashyap and I have parted ways. We've decided to part ways in peace. We request everyone to respect our privacy," she wrote. Kashyap has not made any comment on the issue.
Marriage Started After Being Friends in Badminton Academy
Saina and Kashyap got acquainted while training at a badminton academy. They later developed a relationship, and in 2018, they married.
Present Situation of Saina and Kashyap's Careers
Saina has been suffering from injuries for quite some time now. She lost her rhythm and last competed professionally in the month of June 2023. In a recent post, she stated that she has arthritis and will soon be making a decision regarding her future in badminton.
Parupalli Kashyap retired from professional badminton. He now shifted his attention to coaching.
