Zomato CEO Launches Aviation Venture, Purchases Private Jet

CEO of Zomato's Parent Company Enters Aviation Industry

Deepinder Goyal, founder and CEO of Eternal, the parent of food ordering platform Zomato, has begun a new business in civil aviation. He has begun an aviation business in the form of LAT Aerospace.

Private Jet Bought from Bombardier

According to English media reports, LAT Aerospace has bought a private jet from Bombardier's Global Series. This aircraft has been kept at Delhi Airport's VIP bay since June.

Operations to Start Mid-July

The private jet is to start operations on July 16. Maintenance and engineering services for the aircraft have been outsourced to two companies: Indamar MJets Airport Services and Bird ExecuJet Airport Services.

Jet Details Not Yet Released

The model and other technical specifications of the private jet have not been released yet.

Recent Property Investment by Zomato CEO

Deepinder Goyal recently bought a luxury apartment in DLF, Gurugram, for around Rs. 52.3 crore. The investment came under media scrutiny.

Goyal's Shareholding and Net Worth

As of June, Goyal owned a 3.83% stake in Zomato, according to Forbes. His shares, worth Rs. 9,847 crore, are calculated on the basis of the current stock price. His net worth was also estimated by Forbes to be more than $1.6 billion.
