Court Hears Appeal in Ongoing Death Sentence Case in Yemen

The legal matter pertaining to Kerala nurse Nimisha Priya, who is facing the death penalty in Yemen, is still pending. Her lawyers asked the Supreme Court of India to allow travel to Yemen so that she could interact with the victim's family.

Court Asks Petitioners to Approach Central Government

In response, the Supreme Court advised the petitioners to approach the Central Government. The court noted that travel restrictions are currently in place for Yemen, and only the government can decide on such matters.
