ChatGPT Usage Spreading Fast Globally
ChatGPT is becoming increasingly popular throughout the tech sector. It now responds to user prompts just like Google. OpenAI validated that in a statement to Axios. ChatGPT is now handling approximately 2.5 billion prompts daily.
As reported, 3.3 billion such prompts are coming from the U.S. alone. That amounts to approximately 91 trillion per year. These statistics indicate how much embedded ChatGPT has become in people's everyday internet usage.
Google Continues to Dominate Search Volume
Even with ChatGPT's rapid growth, Google is still on top. Google processes about 50 trillion searches annually. But ChatGPT is growing rapidly and can emerge as a tough competitor in the coming days.

In December 2023, ChatGPT had 300 million weekly users. By March 2024, it had reached 500 million. All those users used the free version of ChatGPT.
