Trump Asserts That His Decision Resulted in Ceasefire Between India and Pakistan

Former US President Donald Trump has said his intervention at the right time prevented the current hostilities between India and Pakistan. Trump added that if he had not intervened, the hostilities may have persisted. Trump explained that both nations agreed to a ceasefire after their governments were under pressure over a proposed trade agreement.

Trump Speaks of Other Global Hostilities

Trump also stated that he had a hand in preventing six wars worldwide. He pointed out his recent move of shortening the 50-day deadline he had set for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump called on Russia to sign an agreement on a ceasefire to bring the current three-year war to a halt. 

Deadline Shortened for Russia, Sanctions Warned

Two weeks ago, Trump placed tariffs on Russia. Now, he has shorted the compliance time. He indicated that Russia has until August 9 to demonstrate peaceful intentions. In case of no progress, he threatened to increase sanctions and tariffs.

Remarks on Gaza Crisis and Israel

Trump also spoke about the situation in Gaza. He disagreed with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding the perception that there is no hunger in Gaza. He emphasized the importance of proper assessment and humanitarian action.

Meeting with UK Prime Minister

Trump delivered these comments during a press conference in Scotland. He was talking alongside British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the Turnberry Golf Resort on Monday.
