India’s Operation Sindoor: PM Modi Defends Military Action And Public Support

PM Modi Addresses Lok Sabha on Operation Sindoor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India is marking a successful operation against terrorism. He added that the nation is proud of the bravery of the Indian Army in Operation Sindoor. He continued that the unity and determination of 140 crore Indians resulted in this triumph. His remarks were made in the course of a debate in Lok Sabha on Operation Sindoor.

Global Support and Targeted Action

Modi declared that the Pahalgam attacks had been designed to initiate religious conflict. India responded by deciding to pursue vigorous action. He clarified that Indian forces crossed into Pakistani territory and obliterated terror camps. He further added that some of the Pakistani air bases remain badly damaged.

Among 193 nations, 190 ratified India's actions during Operation Sindoor. Three nations joined Pakistan. Modi condemned the Congress party, stating it is the only political party in India that is against the operation. He blamed them for politicizing the issue and sabotaging the efforts of the Indian Army.

Global Communication and Pakistan's Response

Modi said that no global leader has asked India to suspend the operation. He said U.S. Vice President JD Vance rang him on May 9 to caution him of a possible mass attack by Pakistan. Modi informed Vance that India would react strongly to any aggression and that nothing external would deter India from defending itself.

He disclosed that the Indian armed forces halted Operation Sindoor only after receiving a mid-night phone call from the Pakistani Director General of Military Operations (DGM) requesting cessation of the strikes.

Support for the Armed Forces

The Prime Minister confirmed full trust in the Indian Defence Forces. He said they have full freedom to act as needed. Modi added that he stands with the people of India and is grateful for their support during the operation. He said his leadership reflects the public's sentiments and that he will continue to support national security.
