Major Earthquake In Russia Triggers Tsunami Risk Worldwide

A strong 8.8 earthquake hit the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia on Wednesday. After the earthquake, tsunami waves arrived in the coastal regions of Russia and Japan. The nearby regions also experienced large waves.

The U.S. Tsunami Warning System has now provided a list of additional countries and islands that may be threatened by tsunamis.

High-Risk Areas (Waves Over 3 Meters)

The following regions can expect waves higher than 3 meters:

Moderate-Risk Zones (Waves Between 1–3 Meters)
