Rahul Gandhi Blames Election Commission For Tampering With Votes

Rahul Gandhi Criticizes Electoral List Process

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has levied serious allegations against the Election Commission. Rahul alleged that the commission is assisting the BJP by rigging voter registration. The Congress party has irrefutable evidence to prove this, according to him. He likened the evidence to an "atomic bomb" and stated that it would reveal the truth.

These comments followed after the Election Commission came out with the draft electoral list. The list had been compiled as part of the Special Comprehensive Revision (SIR) prior to the Bihar Assembly polls. Rahul Gandhi, who has consistently been against this process, reiterated his charges.

Gandhi Alleges Irregularities Across Multiple Elections

Rahul Gandhi mentioned that voting manipulation has occurred not only in Bihar, but in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Lok Sabha polls. He said the amendment to the voter registration is being abused to include millions of ghost voters. The Congress party, he continued, also carried out its own six-month inquiry and discovered damning proof. He threatened that once this proof is made public, the Election Commission will not be able to defend itself.

He went a step ahead and criticized the Election Commission for committing treason by favoring the BJP. Gandhi asserted that they would not spare any officials, even if they had retired.

Election Commission Rejects Allegations

Reacting to this, the Election Commission rejected all allegations. It stated that they were baseless and politically motivated. The EC stated that it is open and transparent and has instructed its personnel to disregard such remarks. It requested officials to remain committed to their work and not be diverted by what it termed as "irresponsible comments."
