The Secunderabad Universal Srushti Fertility Centre is also under probe. Officials are revealing many irregularities. The prime accused, Dr. Namrata, allegedly duped couples with infertility problems. She took them to the Srushti Hospital unit in Visakhapatnam.

- The couples were given the babies, posing as their own, falsely.

Bringing Out the Truth Through DNA Testing
- There is an instance where a couple from Rajasthan was given a child using this method.
- A DNA test revealed that the child was not biologically linked to them.
- That child is now in a children's home.
Benefits for Accomplices
- Dr. Namrata offered gifts and profits to the people who cooperated with the scheme.
- One of the accused, Kalyani, got a profit share.
- Kalyani also rented a flat in Maharanipet, Visakhapatnam, as a gift from Dr. Namrata.
Legal Status and Remand Details
- Police confirmed that the license of the Visakhapatnam center was due to expire in 2023 and had not been renewed.
- The court sent Dr. Namrata to five days of custody from Friday.
- Police are seeking custody of other accused, Jayant Krishna and Dhanasari Santoshi.
