Opposition Parties Overestimated Their Strategy, PM Modi Claims
Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed that opposition parties lost their ground by asking for a debate on 'Operation Sindoor'. He mentioned that they were unable to counter the government in the discussion. Modi, according to him, they lost the opportunity to ask strong questions. He further added that differences from within the party seemed to emerge between the opposition leaders at that moment. Modi explained he had never witnessed such actions from opposition leaders in any other nation.
Modi Criticizes Congress for Article 370 and Implementation of the Constitution
Modi also criticized the Congress party for talking a lot about the Constitution but not applying it in Jammu and Kashmir while they were in power. Modi said the NDA government applied it correctly by repealing Article 370. Modi stated such decisions as the abolition of Article 370, the construction of the Ram temple, and the initiation of Operation Sindoor reflected his government's dedication. Modi added that the opposition parties, on the contrary, were doing themselves harm with their actions.
Parliamentary Debates Truncated Regarding Pahalgam Attack and Operation Sindoor
In recent times, the Lok Sabha conducted debates regarding the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor. Opposition parties raised questions about the national security and foreign policy performances of the government during the sessions. Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi were among the leaders who criticized the government heavily.
The government's response was led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP President J.P. Nadda. They supported the government's action. This resulted in aggressive exchanges in both parliamentary houses.
PM Modi Defends Government Action, Exposing Counter-Terror Operations
At the conclusion of the debate, PM Modi refuted the criticisms. He referred to the errors that were committed earlier when the opposition was in power. He reiterated that both Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev were significant in eradicating terrorists. Modi also rejected the opposition's use of former U.S. President Donald Trump's mention of halting a possible war between India and Pakistan.
Modi was of the opinion that actions by the opposition during the debate did not make their case any stronger, but only revealed internal fissures.
