TDP Organizes Press Meet on Liquor Scam Issue
Speaking at a press meet organized at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri, senior party leader Anam Venkataramana Reddy accused Vijayasai Reddy of being the mastermind behind Andhra Pradesh's liquor scam.
Government-Operated Liquor Shops Raised Eyebrows
Reddy asked how a liquor scam was possible when the liquor shops are owned by the state government directly. He also mentioned that a similar scam happened in Tamil Nadu, although the government owned those shops too.
Accusations Against YSRCP Leadership
He blamed Vijayasai Reddy for refusing to accept that he was involved in the scam and alleged that several YSRCP leaders are involved. Reddy questioned whether Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy could assertively claim his party's involvement in the scam or not.
Demands for Public Apology
Reddy asked YSRCP leaders to tender a public apology. He reiterated that TDP leaders are careful and do not commit folly. He claimed that Chandrababu Naidu, the party chief of TDP, is disciplined in the party and takes action if any leader goes wrong.
