Mike Andrews: 'If Ratan Tata Was There, There Would Have Been No Delay'

The relatives of victims of the plane crash of Air India are yet to see the promised compensation of ₹1 crore each, three months after the accident. The delay has invited criticism from many.

US lawyer Mike Andrews, who has around 65 victim families as his clients, was displeased with the situation. According to him, if Ratan Tata, ex-chairman of the Tata Group, was running the show, compensation would have been given immediately.

Based on Andrews, Ratan Tata is famous for being compassionate towards humans. He quoted that Tata would have empathized with the emotional distress of the victims' families and reacted quickly. He emphasized that Tata treated workers as his family members and provided swift assistance during distressing situations.

Andrews presented the example of a mother who lost her lone son in the accident. The deceased had been her sole support. She is now experiencing financial issues, medical complications, and psychological trauma. Andrews asked who will assume her responsibilities in case of delayed compensation.
