Event Summary
The new Type VII multi-storey buildings for Members of Parliament were inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. The complex is situated at Baba Kharak Singh Marg. It has 184 flats.
Participation and Activities
Modi planted a sindoor plant during the event. Modi greeted the workers who worked on the project. He inquired about their work and problems. A group photo was clicked with them. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and some Union ministers also attended.
Project Purpose
The project is to minimize the deficit of housing for MPs.
Facilities and Design
- Each flat has around 5,000 square feet.
- Flats are larger than Type VIII buildings.
- The structures are equipped with modern amenities.
