Tamil Nadu Elections
There are Tamil Nadu Assembly elections next year. People are going to attend meetings arranged by Vijay. Political leaders of parties are making statements about the meetings. Kamal Haasan responded to an inquiry about this topic and said:
- Not going for meetings guarantees votes.
- The same is the case with all political leaders, like Vijay.
- The same thing happens everywhere else too.
Advice for Vijay
When asked what advice he would give to Vijay, Kamal Haasan responded that he would tell him to proceed with courage, stay on the right track, and work for the people. He also added that this should be applied by every leader, including Vijay.
On Criticism in Politics and Cinema
Kamal Haasan clarified that politicians and actors are always subjected to criticism. He continued to add that new and old members have to coexist with criticism.
Vijay's Response at Thiruvarur
The same has been argued by Vijay when he had gone campaigning in Thiruvarur two days ago. He posed a question to the gathering in front of him: "Everyone says that not all those who attend the meetings will vote. Is it so?"
The crowd responded by crying his name, "Vijay." The crowd felt it as an expression of their devotion, and Vijay liked the response of the people.
