Yuvraj Singh Appears Before ED Inquiry In Online Betting App Case

Former Cricketer Questioned by ED

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi on Tuesday. He came to the ED office in the afternoon. The probe was related to his promotion of an online betting application. Earlier, influencer Anveshizain had also appeared before the ED in the very same case.

Other Celebrities Questioned

ED officials have now questioned past cricketers Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, and Robin Uthappa. Actress turned TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty and Bengali actor Ankush Hazra were also called for questioning. Their statements were taken by the Daryaganj unit of the agency. Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has also been called for questioning. He will be appearing before the ED on Wednesday, September 24.

All those celebrities that were interviewed were 1xBet betting company brand ambassadors. The ED investigation found that various people lost money through unauthorized betting apps. The investigation also established misappropriation and tax evasion of massive amounts of money.
