Netanyahu Says Gaza War Nearing Its End

Two years since the war between Israel and Gaza commenced, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu provided significant insights in his recent interview. According to him, the war is coming to an end in the place it began—Gaza.

Netanyahu explained the war is nearly over, but Hamas has not yet been completely defeated. He clarified Israel has emerged stronger since Hamas attacks launched on October 7. According to him, such attacks did not weaken Israel but unified the nation and its will. Netanyahu declared that he is convinced that Hamas will be annihilated soon and Israel will become even stronger after the war.

In the same interview, Netanyahu discussed his encounter with then US President Donald Trump. Netanyahu warned that Iran is developing intercontinental ballistic missiles that can strike Washington and New York-style cities. Netanyahu claimed that he had warned Trump to be vigilant to this threat. Netanyahu added that great powers still need friends and Israel remains a good friend of the United States.

The conflict began on October 7, when Hamas launched an attack against Israel. In response, Israel launched serious retaliatory attacks against Gaza, causing huge damage and loss of human life. Thousands of innocent people have been affected, and the majority of the cities in Gaza have been severely damaged.

Recently, there has been a major diplomatic breakthrough towards the conflict's end. A 20-point peace plan proposed by Trump is reported to have been adopted by both sides. Present negotiations in Egypt are being targeted towards agreeing on the finer points and bringing the war to an end.
