Launch and Availability
Samsung has launched a new smartphone in the Galaxy M series—a Samsung Galaxy M17 5G. The device will become available for purchase on Samsung India's website ,Amazon, and a few selected retail outlets on October 13. One of the interesting selling features is an assurance of six years of Android OS updates and security updates to ensure longevity for users.
Display and Design
The Galaxy M17 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a maximum brightness of 1,100 nits (HBM) and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection for display durability. The phone is using One UI 7 on Android 15. It will come in two color choices—Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black.
Performance and Hardware
The Galaxy M17 5G is powered by the Samsung Exynos 1330 processor, which is designed for balanced performance and for every necessary daily task or light gaming. Also, this phone is 5G-capable for increased data speeds and a more stable network experience.
Camera Features
The smartphone includes three rear cameras.
- 50MP main sensor for photography
- 5MP ultrawide lens for wider photography
- 2MP macro lens for close-up photography
- In the front, for selfies and video calls, a 13MP front camera is included.

Samsung offers the Galaxy M17 5G in three storage variants:
- 4GB RAM + 128GB storage – ₹12,499
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage – ₹13,999
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – ₹15,499
- Each variant provides expandable storage and supports all major 5G bands in India.
