
Foxconn to Invest ₹15,000 Crore and Employ 14,000 Individuals
Apple's iPhone manufacturing contract company Foxconn has announced huge investment in Tamil Nadu. The firm will be investing ₹15,000 crore, which will generate 14,000 new employments, according to the statement from the state government on Monday.
State Industries Minister T.R.B. Raja informed that this is Tamil Nadu's biggest investment so far. On his official X (Twitter) account, he tweeted, "This is the biggest engineering investment in Tamil Nadu till date. Foxconn will be investing ₹15,000 crore and creating 14,000 high-level jobs. Engineers, get ready."
Enabling Investment and Future Expansion
Minister Raja also added that Tamil Nadu's board for investment promotion, Guidance Tamil Nadu, will also establish a special desk to help Foxconn acquire the approvals needed on a fast basis.
He said that the fresh investment provides a significant boost to the state's electronics and advanced manufacturing sectors. The minister further added that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's recent visit along with Foxconn India's representative has encouraged more confidence within the company to conduct business in Tamil Nadu.
