Overview of the 'Peace Agreement'
There had been a signed peace agreement in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, to bring an end to the Israel–Hamas war. The signing ceremony was graced with world leaders. Moderating the event was Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, among others, with the latter making some engaging remarks. He admired former U.S. President Donald Trump for taking the initiative to usher peace and lower the world's conflicts.
Sharif's Comments about Trump's Action
Sharif called the day historic. Sharif expounded that Gaza could enjoy peace depending on the ongoing effort put by President Trump. Trump's commitment and determination, according to Sharif, brought stability and progress all over the globe. He also added Trump's contribution toward softening Pakistan and India's tensions.
Sharif also added that Trump and his administration did everything to avoid a probable war between the two nuclear powers. He added that if the U.S. delegation had not intervened at that time, the situation would have become serious and impacted the whole West Asian continent.
Pakistan's Acceptance of Trump's Diplomatic Efforts
In respect of his work in peace, Donald Trump was nominated by Pakistan for the Nobel Peace Prize. Sharif further indicated that Trump had already won seven wars globally and that it was his eighth victory at peace.
Reactions of Leaders and Guests
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who was in attendance at the speech by Sharif, remained stunned and had her mouth covered as she listened to him. The tirade became a topic of debate among attendees.
Trump was taken aback by the compliment after Sharif's statement. Smiling, Trump revealed that he never thought that he would be listening to such complimentary words. Teasingly, jokingly, jocularly, he told the people in the hall that he had nothing further to say and ended, "Let's go home." His statement brought the crowd into hysterics down the corridor, and it gave an amiable and casual tone to the situation.
