Gaza Peace Agreement Receives Global Praise

Hostage Release First Step of Gaza Peace Plan

Following the first step of the 20-point Gaza peace plan of the former US President Donald Trump, 20 Israeli Hamas hostages, who were held captive for two years, have been freed. The release came after an agreement to enforce a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The peace plan has been welcomed worldwide for its stability coupled with humanitarian focus in the region.

Biden and Clinton Commend Trump's Initiative

former President Joe Biden, being a perennial critic of Trump's policy, officially congratulated him on the achievement of the ceasefire. Biden declared that the Gaza deal was an immense accomplishment and hailed the freeing of the hostages. According to his words, with America and the world behind it, the Middle East is moving towards a brighter, more peaceful future.

But another US former President, Bill Clinton, also lauded Trump's move. Clinton termed the crisis in Gaza as a bitter one as far as the value of human life is concerned in the war initiated by the attacks of Hamas. Clinton admitted that the release of the hostages, humanitarian aid flow, and ceasefire agreement were all positive things. Clinton credited Trump, his government, Qatar, and other countries equally for bringing about the agreement.

Official Signing of Gaza Peace Agreement

Formal signing of the Gaza peace agreement took place in Egypt's Sharm el-Sheikh. Donald Trump signed first as witness to world leaders. Second was signed by Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey leaders. Dozens of the world's top leaders have shown up for the ceremony, reflecting the significance of the peace agreement.
