Kohli posted on platform X (formerly Twitter), "Only when we raise our hands will we be defeated." People are speculating meaning behind the post, assigning it to his future in cricket. It is a known fact that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma both want to play the 2027 ODI World Cup. But for that, there can be no assurance. Indian team head coach Gautam Gambhir has refused to make a clear declaration regarding their future. He stressed that it is crucial to concentrate on the present and not the future.
Gambhir stated, "There are two and a half years remaining before the 50-over World Cup. It is necessary to remain in the present. Rohit and Kohli are good players. The experience they will acquire from the Australia tour will benefit the team. I wish them luck there."
