
Introduction
TVS Motor Company has introduced its first adventure motorcycle in the country — Apache RTX 300. Priced at ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the launch marks TVS's entry into the adventure segment. The new bike will rival the KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure, and Royal Enfield Scram 440.
Engine and Performance
The Apache RTX 300 comes with a new 299cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder RT-XD4 engine. It carries 35.5 hp of power and 28.5 Nm of torque. The bike has a 6-speed gearbox paired with a bi-directional quickshifter for seamless gear shifts. It also comes with assist and slipper clutches for enhanced riding comfort and control.
Technology and Features
TVS has fitted the Apache RTX 300 with a full-color TFT screen. The screen can provide map mirroring, GoPro control, and call or SMS alert. Four ride modes – Tour, Rally, Urban, and Rain – are provided to the riders to modify to suit different road conditions and weather.
Safety and Comfort
The bike has some of the most crucial safety features such as dual-channel ABS, traction control, cruise control, and a TPMS. They contribute to better stability and more confidence for the rider on long rides.
Design and Colors
The Apache RTX 300 is available in five colors — Viper Green, Tarn Bronze, Metallic Blue, Lightning Black, and Pearl White. The design emphasis is on endurance, strength, and adventure-fitness, which is more appealing to young riders' tastes.
